OK, the system in question is a Dell Dimension E510 3.0Ghz cpu 1gig ram Integrated 10/100 network Integrated Intel 945G video (does run Glass) Integrated Sigmatel Audio Happauge 150MCE TV Tuner
MCE 2005 works just fine
The system is set up to dual boot into Vista-32 or Vista-64. Both are clean installs.
Vista detects all teh hardware just fine except Vista-64 doesn't support an added Dlink NIC
My problem is that the system records TV shows just fine, and I can play them back just fine.
However, when I go to burn an episode to a DVD, I bring up the list of recorded TV shows, Right-click on the show I want to record Select create DVD Choose Video DVD MCE now hangs, and never progresses to the next screen where it would normally ask you for a title, then procede from there to the burn screen.
Bringing up the task manager shows MCE still running.
Within Windows Explorer, I can select the same file and burn the file to a DVD with no problem.
anybody have any ideas what I should look for that might be causing MCE to hang?
BTW, it happens in both Vista-32 and in Vista-64.

Cannot burn a recorded TV show in Media Center
Windows Vista
